Dr. Ming received his early training at the B.S and M.S. levels from China Pharmaceutical University and The University of Texas College of Pharmacy. In 2004, he began his Ph.D. studies at The University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy. His thesis work with Prof. Dhiren Thakker dealt with mechanisms of transporter-mediated intestinal absorption of small molecule drugs. In 2008, Dr. Ming joined Prof. Rudy Juliano's laboratory at UNC as a postdoctoral fellow to work on projects concerning targeted delivery of antisense and siRNA oligonucleotides and the underlying cellular mechanisms. In 2011, he was appointed a Research Assistant Professor in the same university. Since then, he has focused his research on targeted delivery of therapeutic oligonucleotides to solid tumors and fibrotic tissues.
